This the 1st part of a ‘short & sharp’ series looking at the basics of colon care.
This post looks at:
Colon Care & Exercise
Your colon’s health is the key to ensuring your digestive system is working properly.
If your colon is not properly cared for, it can develop cancer or cause irritation, diarrhea, hemorrhoids, and gas.
One of the best ways to care for your colon is to exercise.
Colon cancer begins from polyps that form inside your colon. While many of these are not dangerous, some of them are cancer causing. The best way to stop these polyps from ever forming is to engage in a healthy, active lifestyle.
Don’t look at exercise simply as a way to lose weight or improve your shape. You should also see it as a way to promote long term health in your colon.
Many cases of colon cancer are preventable, and the best way to ensure that they don’t occur is to exercise regularly.
The physical activities that help your colon the most involve working your legs and lower body. These would include running, cycling and dancing.
Studies have shown that people who engage in physical exercise regularly for at least ten years of their adult life are considerably less likely to develop colon cancer than those who do not.
This simple prevention method can ensure that you live longer and healthier.
There you go, I told you they would be quick…..but quickly doesn’t mean not important. Another ‘Basics’ post to come shortly. Thanks!
